By law, every English parish must have a parish meeting. It consists of the local government electors registered for the area in which it is held and must take place between 1 March and 1 June.
It is convened by the Parish Council and is presided over by the Chairman of the Parish Council.
The meeting held in Walberton Parish is now called the Annual Parish Meeting and a notice asking for agenda items is posted on our notice boards about three weeks prior to the meeting. An agenda showing the time, date and venue is posted 7 days prior to the meeting.
Local organisations are invited to make presentations (maximum 2 minutes each) and there is always an open forum where members of the electorate may discuss any issue.
Please contact the clerk to request a presentation slot or add an agenda item.
