The Youth Council was started in 2024. Any young person between the ages of 12 and 17 can join, attending special meetings to discuss improvements to the village that might be of benefit to them.
The group will then research, get quotes, seek approval, present plans and fundraise for their chosen project.
The 2024/5 group have worked well together to provide a new combined practice football goal and basketball net for Walberton Playing field.
This is an excellent opportunity for young people seeking a volunteering role as part of Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
